Established in 1983, AIESEC in Ahmedabad was originally called AIESEC in IIM Ahmedabad. The name was derived from the fact that its inception was laid in Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad – one of the top business schools in the world. The founding team of the chapter consisted of three students from the Institute. They were supported by then president of AIESEC India, Mr. Arjun Bhagat (Founder of AIESEC in India-1981, AIESEC in Thailand-1983).

 

AIESEC in Ahmedabad, ever since its inception, has been a pioneer in delivering rich experiences to the local youth as well as the international trainees through collaborating across different sectors and associating with numerous Locally, Nationally and Globally operating organizations. AIESEC in Ahmedabad’s prestigious associations include the Adani Group, Gujarat Samachar, Flying Machine, Zydus Cadilla, Deloitte, IIM-A and many more.  The Board of AIESEC in Ahmedabad, presently, comprises of three esteemed members. Namely, Mr. Savan Godiawala ( Senior Director, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd), Mr. Mihir Bhatt (Founder & CEO, All India Disaster Mitigation Institute), Mr. Nehal Shah (CEO & Founder, Foliage Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.).
